Following the amazing feedback from the first RunReading Covid-19 Safe Half Marathon we are back on Sunday May 16th with the original Half Marathon and now a Full Marathon & 50K Ultra for new and regular ultra runners. The three distances are designed to be relaxed, friendly, Covid-19 Safe running events, a little different to the usual mass participation races. Please read the event information for full details. Current Government guidance suggests running races in May will be able to go ahead as planned.

The original RunReading Half Marathon run over the same amazing scenic riverside route.

A full Marathon challenge exploring the beautiful villages of the Thames and riverside trails.

A 50K Ultra specifically aimed at those new to ultra running but open to everyone.

“Everything about it had obviously been seriously thought out and delivered so that all the participants felt safe but at the same time able to enjoy and feel part of something really quite special. Personally, I don’t think that I stopped smiling for the whole 21.1km and the atmosphere around the finish line, with all the lovely coloured flags, was fab…thank you so much”.

“Really well organised event, great location and route and I got a PB, 5 mins quicker than my best on road half marathon! Looking forward to doing it again next year!”.

“You guys did an amazing job and there was a tiny slice of normality after months of event cancellations etc. We much preferred the staggered start! So relaxed and stress free”.

“Starting in small groups actually made it friendlier as you chatted with your starting pen buddies. It made running the course easier with no bottlenecks and easy to pass walkers and cyclists on the shared paths. The marshalls did a great job of not only pointing which way to go, but informing of tight turns and how to open the gate”.
