RunReading (formally Goring Gap Run) returns to Mapledurham House, Reading with a brand new super social format on Saturday May 14th 2022.
If you are looking for something a little different to the usual running race formats then this is for you! It’s a running Enduro, 20K of running (24K in total) over 11 timed stages with breaks along the way, run it solo or in pairs, run with friends, run with team mates, It’s as relaxed or as competitive as you make it.
Run a stage then take a break, you can take a short break or walk/jog to the start of the next timed stage, you can allow friends to catch up and re-group or just carry on, results will be published showing all your rankings in each stage. You can run an even pace or save yourself for an all out effort in one stage, maybe become king of the mountains and then jog the rest, how you run it is up to you.
First wave starters leave at 10.30am, there are two support areas on route at roughly 5 & 10 miles. Post race we have catering and a bar so you can meet up with friends and team mates to celebrate in the riverside race village. The route is super scenic and offers everything from single track trail, to road, to rural tracks so each stage has a different feel.
You can click on each stage on the interactive route map below, blue stages are the jog/walk recovery, use the menu in the top left to show all stages, their distance and the stars 1 – 4 indicate our difficulty rating. Check out the stage and recovery stages here.
